The Lagos State Safety Commission has announced a high-impact conference to spearhead a digital safety transformation across industries.

EpeInsights reports that the move is to curb workplace accidents and align with global safety standards.

Unveiled as part of the 2025 World Day for Safety and Health at Work celebrations, the event is themed “Navigating Technology Advancement for a Safer, Healthier & Sustainable Workplace.”

It will bring together industry leaders, tech innovators, policymakers, and regulatory bodies to reimagine occupational safety in a digitized economy.

According to the Director-General, Lagos State Safety Commission, Lanre Mojola, the initiative reflects the state’s commitment to zero-tolerance for workplace fatalities and injuries, leveraging smart technologies to build safer, smarter, and more sustainable working environments.

“We are embracing innovation to future-proof safety across all sectors. Our ultimate vision is a Lagos where no one has to risk their life to earn a living,” Mojola stated.

The upcoming conference will spotlight advanced safety systems, data-driven risk assessments, wearable monitoring technologies, and AI-integrated hazard prevention strategies.
