The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has flagged off the “Adopt-A-School: Snacks for Thought (PBAT Feeds)” initiative at RCM Primary School, Itoikin, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to improving education and child nutrition.
Epe Insights reports that the programme is being implemented under the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (RH-NHGSFP) in collaboration with the Federal Government, Lagos State Government, Conference 57 and private sector partners to enhance pupils’ welfare and learning outcomes.
The initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, which prioritises quality education, improved child nutrition and sustainable human capital development across the country.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Anomo described the programme as a strategic investment in the future of children, noting that access to nutritious meals plays a vital role in improving academic performance and school attendance.
He said the initiative reflects the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring that pupils begin each school day with the nourishment needed for effective learning and healthy development.
According to the council chairman, the programme also demonstrates the value of collaboration between government and the private sector in addressing educational and social challenges.
Hon. Anomo commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for introducing policies aimed at strengthening education and improving the wellbeing of schoolchildren nationwide.
He also applauded the Lagos State Government for partnering with the Federal Government to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative across local communities.
The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to complementing both federal and state educational programmes through policies that prioritise the welfare of children in Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.

“A healthy child learns better,” the chairman noted, adding that the provision of nutritious meals will encourage improved concentration, boost classroom participation and promote better learning outcomes.
