After months of blackout, power has been restored to Ererufu, Ketu, and Ejinrin areas in ongoing Epe electricity restoration.
Epe Insights reports that the power restoration was due to the collaborative efforts of the Executive Chairmen—Otunba Wale Raji Anomo of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye of Eredo LCDA, and Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun of Epe LG—working in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Ikeja Electric.
A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA on Monday, February 24, 2025, and sent to Epe Insights disclosed this.
According to the statement, the Chairmen remain committed and steadfast in ensuring that all affected communities regain power promptly, noting that “electricity will be fully restored across the remaining areas by the end of this week.”
The statement reads thus; “We are pleased to announce that as of February 23, 2025, electricity has been successfully restored to the Ererufu, Ketu and Ejinrin areas. This is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the Executive Chairmen—Otunba Wale Raji Anomo of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye of Eredo LCDA, and Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun of Epe LG—working in conjunction with the Lagos State Ministry of Energy and Ikeja Electric.
“Our Chairmen remains committed and steadfast in ensuring that all affected communities regain power promptly. We anticipate that electricity will be fully restored across the remaining areas by the end of this week.
“In our ongoing efforts to safeguard our infrastructure, Communities are enjoined to report any suspicious acts around power cables and work collaboratively with the established Joint Security Taskforce dedicated to preventing vandalism and ensuring the longevity of our electrical systems.
“Your cooperation with security personnel and government officials is crucial in protecting public assets and maintaining a stable power supply,” the statement added.
