APC flag bearer for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. (Engr.) Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, FNSE, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening grassroots political participation following a strategic consultation with the Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF).
Epe Insights reports that the meeting focused on preparations for the 2027 General Elections, with discussions centred on grassroots mobilisation, voter education and strengthening support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Epe Division.
The THEDSF delegation presented its action plan, outlining strategies designed to expand voter participation and deepen political engagement at the community level.
According to the group, its activities will prioritise grassroots mobilisation, civic awareness and sustained support for APC candidates throughout Epe Division ahead of the polls.
Hon. Olowu commended the initiative, describing it as a positive contribution towards strengthening democratic participation and enhancing the party’s grassroots structure.
He noted that community-based mobilisation remains an important element in promoting inclusive political participation and sustaining engagement with residents.
The APC candidate reaffirmed his commitment to accessible and people-centred representation, promising to continue supporting initiatives that encourage active citizen involvement in governance.
He also emphasised the importance of collaboration among party members, community leaders and stakeholders in advancing the development of Ibeju-Lekki and the wider Epe Division.
Hon. Olowu urged members of the solidarity group to remain peaceful, law-abiding and focused on issue-based mobilisation while carrying out their activities across the division.
He further encouraged eligible residents to participate actively in the democratic process by obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and exercising their constitutional right to vote.
Members of THEDSF expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting voter education and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange ideas on strengthening party structures, expanding political awareness and fostering unity within the APC.
Participants agreed that sustained engagement with communities would play an important role in increasing voter participation and supporting democratic development across Epe Division.
The consultation reflects ongoing efforts by political stakeholders to strengthen grassroots structures and encourage greater civic participation as preparations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
