Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has been commended by the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for his administration’s outstanding performance in delivering impactful development projects across the council.
Epe Insights reports that the commendation was given during an official oversight visit to the Lekki LCDA Secretariat by members of the Assembly Committee led by its Chairman, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon.
The lawmakers praised Kasali’s leadership style, describing his administration as one that has consistently prioritised projects capable of improving the welfare of residents and driving sustainable development.
During the visit, the Lekki LCDA Chairman presented a comprehensive account of projects executed by his administration from 2024 to date. The presentation highlighted significant investments across infrastructure, healthcare, education, sports, agriculture, environmental sustainability, security, and other community-focused programmes.
The Committee acknowledged that under Kasali’s leadership, Lekki LCDA has continued to implement people-oriented policies that have produced visible improvements across several sectors.
Members of the delegation expressed satisfaction with the council’s development strategy, noting that the projects showcased reflected careful planning, prudent management of public resources, and a commitment to delivering value for residents.
Particular attention was given to the administration’s achievements in healthcare, education, and infrastructure, which the lawmakers described as major pillars of sustainable grassroots development.
The Committee singled out the ongoing Type C Primary Healthcare Centre being constructed by the Kasali administration as one of the most impressive projects undertaken by any local government in Lagos State.
According to the lawmakers, the facility is the largest and most ambitious Type C Primary Healthcare Centre they have encountered during oversight visits to more than 50 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas across the state.
The recognition was seen as a strong endorsement of Kasali’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and expanding access to quality medical services for residents of Lekki LCDA.
Beyond healthcare, the Assembly Committee applauded the Chairman’s investments in road construction and rehabilitation, educational development, environmental management, sports promotion, community security, and agricultural initiatives.
The lawmakers noted that the administration’s projects have contributed to improving living standards while creating a more enabling environment for economic and social development.
The Committee also commended Kasali for maintaining a balanced development agenda that addresses both infrastructure needs and social welfare programmes.
While praising the council’s achievements, members of the Assembly Committee offered constructive recommendations to further improve governance and service delivery across the LCDA.
The lawmakers encouraged the Chairman to sustain the pace of development by ensuring the timely completion of ongoing projects and maintaining high standards in project execution.
