The administration of the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), has facilitated an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) session to address the succession dispute over the vacant stool of the Onise of Ise Kingdom.
Epe Insights reports that the mediation session was held at the Lekki LCDA Secretariat as part of the council’s commitment to promoting peace, strengthening traditional institutions, and fostering harmony among communities.
The Alternative Dispute Resolution meeting brought together traditional rulers, representatives of the various Ise royal families, and other key stakeholders to seek an amicable resolution to the succession matter.
The mediation was coordinated by the council’s Legal Officer, Mrs. Fola Roberts, alongside two senior legal practitioners who guided the dialogue to ensure fairness and constructive engagement among all parties.
Among those present were the Onilekki of Lekki, the Onilepia of Lepia, representatives of the Ise royal families, and other respected stakeholders with interests in the traditional institution.
The participants engaged in peaceful discussions aimed at resolving differences through dialogue, mutual respect, and consensus rather than confrontation.
