RBK Joins APC Leaders on Lagos Infrastructure Tour

The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), joined members of Conference 57 and APC State Chairmen from across Nigeria on a strategic tour of landmark infrastructure projects in Lagos State.

Epe Insights reports that the tour formed part of the APC State Chairmen’s Forum Meeting hosted in Lagos, providing participants with an opportunity to assess some of the state’s most significant development projects and economic assets.

The inspection tour showcased major infrastructure projects that have contributed to Lagos State’s reputation as a leading centre for economic growth, urban renewal, and sustainable development.

The delegation began the tour with a visit to the Palace of the Oba of Lagos, where the APC leaders paid homage to one of the state’s most respected traditional institutions.

The visit reflected the continued recognition of the important role traditional rulers play in promoting peace, cultural heritage, and community development.

Participants also toured the Lagos Blue Line Rail, one of the state’s flagship transportation projects designed to improve urban mobility and reduce traffic congestion.

The delegation inspected sections of the Lagos Coastal Road, a major infrastructure project expected to strengthen transportation, improve connectivity, and support economic expansion.

The tour also included the Lekki Free Zone, widely recognised as one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing industrial and investment hubs.

Delegates visited the Lekki Deep Sea Port, a strategic maritime facility expected to enhance trade, logistics, and industrial activities while strengthening Nigeria’s position in regional commerce.

As part of the programme, the APC leaders also toured the emerging Eko Atlantic City, one of Africa’s most ambitious urban development projects.

For Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, the visit extended beyond inspecting physical infrastructure. It also provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on governance, development planning, and public service delivery.

The Lekki LCDA chairman noted that such engagements encourage collaboration among political leaders while promoting the sharing of practical strategies for sustainable development.

He observed that the projects reflect deliberate investments aimed at improving transportation, expanding economic opportunities, and creating an enabling environment for investors.

The visits to the Lekki Free Zone, Lekki Deep Sea Port, and the Lagos Coastal Road further highlighted Lekki LCDA’s strategic importance in Nigeria’s economic landscape.

These projects continue to position the council area as a major destination for industrial growth, logistics, commerce, and international investment.

Stakeholders at the forum commended the Lagos State Government for implementing large-scale infrastructure projects that support long-term economic transformation.

They noted that continuous investment in transportation, maritime infrastructure, and urban development remains essential for attracting businesses and creating employment opportunities.

Participants also described the tour as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation among APC leaders while gaining valuable insights into infrastructure planning and governance.

The strategic engagement reinforced the importance of collaboration in promoting innovative ideas that can support sustainable growth across states and local governments.

As Lagos continues to expand its infrastructure network, leaders at the forum expressed confidence that landmark projects within Lekki LCDA and other parts of the state will continue to drive investment, improve connectivity, and contribute significantly to Nigeria’s economic development.
