The Oloja of Epe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, has urged residents of Epe Division to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate actively in the 2027 general elections, stressing the importance of civic engagement in the democratic process.
Epe Insights reports that the monarch made the call while receiving the leadership of the Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF), who paid him a consultation visit to seek his royal blessings and support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The delegation, led by the Director-General of THEDSF, Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo, popularly known as GMO, described the visit as an opportunity to formally introduce the group and seek the monarch’s guidance before commencing its mobilisation activities across Epe Division.
Olasupo praised Oba Animashaun for his longstanding contributions to the political development of Epe Division, describing the traditional ruler as a respected leader whose support has remained significant in the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) within the area.
He appealed to the monarch to continue encouraging eligible voters to collect their PVCs and participate in the electoral process, noting that increased voter turnout would strengthen democratic participation across the division.
Responding, Oba Animashaun thanked the delegation for the visit and commended the group’s decision to consult the traditional institution before embarking on its activities.

The monarch expressed confidence in the APC leadership, stating that he believes President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has delivered notable reforms since assuming office and voiced his expectation that the President would seek another mandate in the 2027 election.
Oba Animashaun also spoke in support of Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, describing him as an experienced public servant with extensive knowledge of governance.
He said Dr. Hamzat’s years of service in government have equipped him with the administrative capacity required for higher leadership responsibilities in Lagos State.
The royal father reiterated the importance of peaceful political participation and urged residents to obtain their voter cards from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and vote during the next general elections.
Oba Animashaun further assured the delegation that he would continue to encourage civic participation across Epe Division through lawful voter mobilisation and community engagement.
He also emphasised the need for political activities to remain peaceful, orderly and focused on promoting the collective progress of Epe Division and Lagos State.
Members of the Oloja-in-Council witnessed the consultation meeting, which concluded with prayers for peaceful elections, continued unity and sustained development across Epe Division.
The visit highlights the continuing role of traditional institutions in encouraging civic participation and engaging with political stakeholders as preparations gradually build toward the 2027 general elections.
