The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has conducted an inspection visit to the ongoing Orimedu Market Project to assess the pace and quality of work at the construction site.
Epe Insights reports that the market project is progressing steadily and is expected to enhance commercial activities while providing a more organized trading environment for residents and business owners in the area.
During the inspection, Hon. Olowa reviewed the level of work completed and expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded on the project.
The Chairman noted that the development forms part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening local economic growth through strategic infrastructure investments.
Upon completion, the Orimedu Market is expected to provide 100 open stalls for traders, creating additional opportunities for small-scale businesses and entrepreneurs.

The project will also feature 20 lock-up shops designed to support more structured and secure commercial operations within the market.
In addition, market offices are being incorporated into the facility to improve administration and management of trading activities.
A dedicated security post is also included in the project plan to enhance safety and ensure effective monitoring of the market environment.
The market will further provide convenience facilities to improve comfort and accessibility for traders, customers, and visitors.
To enhance aesthetics and ease of movement, the surroundings of the market will be fully paved upon completion.
A perimeter fence is also being constructed to provide security and protect the facility from unauthorized access.
Residents and stakeholders have welcomed the project, describing it as a significant step toward improving commercial infrastructure within Orimedu and surrounding communities.

Many traders expressed optimism that the modern market facility would boost business activities and attract more customers to the area.
Community leaders commended the local government for prioritizing projects that directly impact livelihoods and support grassroots economic development.
The Orimedu Market Project is one of several infrastructure initiatives currently being implemented by the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Olowa.
Observers noted that the administration has continued to focus on projects aimed at improving commerce, connectivity, and public service delivery.
As construction advances toward completion, expectations remain high that the market will become a major commercial hub serving traders and residents across Orimedu and neighbouring communities.
