Iraye-Oke United CDA has endorsed Hon. Monsuru Akinloye for a second term.
Epe Insights reports that the fastest-growing community in the Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos, the United Community Development Association (CDA) of Iraye-Oke, has endorsed the reelection bid of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye.
The endorsement came during a strategic meeting between the CDA leadership and key officials of the Akinloye-led administration.
A coalition of 23 community associations led by Lookman Bello, the Chairman of the United CDA, identified pressing issues affecting the community, particularly electricity, at the meeting. The meeting also focused on strengthening collaboration between the government and the people.
The Chairman of the United CDA praised Hon. Akinloye’s leadership in his remarks, citing tangible progress across Eredo LCDA, especially in infrastructure, education, and community-driven projects.
Bello said the achievements have improved the standard of living in Iraye-Oke and its environs.
“We are here to declare total support for Hon. Monsuru Akinloye’s reelection,” Bello said. “His administration has brought visible developments that have impacted our lives positively.
“This is not just about politics but about performance. We want continuity of these good works.”
The CDA leaders, while reaffirming their support, raised concerns about the persistent electricity problem plaguing Iraye-Oke. They urged the administration to provide a lasting solution to the issue, which they described as critical to the community’s growth.
In his response, Sikiru Oladega, the Chief of Staff to Eredo LG Chairman, thanked the community leaders for their steadfast support and acknowledged the importance of Iraye-Oke to the development of Eredo LCDA.
“We value this community greatly,” Oladega stated. “Your concerns have been noted, especially regarding electricity.
“The chairman is committed to finding sustainable solutions, and a special committee will be set up to address the issue promptly.”
Also speaking at the meeting, Hon. Seyi Ibrahim, the Special Adviser to the Chairman on Legislative and Political Matters, who facilitated the engagement, praised the unity and commitment of Iraye-Oke’s leadership.
The Special Adviser to the Chairman on Legislative and Political Matters assured them that their support would not be taken for granted and reiterated the administration’s dedication to serving the people.
“This partnership between government and community is essential,” Hon. Ibrahim said. “With your continued support, Hon. Akinloye will deepen the development agenda for Iraye-Oke and the entire Eredo LCDA.”
The meeting concluded on a high note, with both parties aligning on the need for sustained progress and development.
The CDA pledged to mobilize residents to support Hon. Akinloye’s reelection, while the administration promised increased responsiveness to community needs.
“We believe in Hon. Akinloye’s leadership. The projects we’ve seen give us hope, and with this renewed partnership, Iraye-Oke can only get better,” a resident and youth leader said.
