Epe Club has distributed Ramadan food palliative in the spirit of Ramadan 2025.

Epe Insights reports that the premier club of Epe division, EPE CLUB, in a commendable gesture of compassion, took significant steps to alleviate the hardships faced by fasting Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan by distributing food boxes containing a variety of essential food items to several mosques across the region.

The premier club distributed the Ramadan food palliative at Itaopo Central Mosque, Tafsir Mosque at Bado-Isale, and Okemagba Central Mosque on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

Mr. Sanuth and Mr. Taiwo, who represented EPE CLUB during the distribution, emphasized that this initiative was part of the club’s ongoing philanthropic efforts to support the people of Epe Division.

EPE CLUB representatives reassured the public that this was not the first time the club was engaging in such charitable activities, promising that more relief efforts would follow as the year progresses.

In response, Sheikh Hammed Saliu, the Chief Imam of Okemagba Central Mosque, praised the club for its generosity and kindness. However, he also took the opportunity to address a critical issue affecting the division.

“He raised concerns over the dichotomy between the Ijebu-Epe and Eko-Epe communities in EPE, which has led to significant setbacks for the region.”

The Chief Imam of Okemagba Central Mosque expressed worry over the negative impact of this division, urging the leadership of EPE CLUB, which encompasses both communities, to use their platform to foster unity and resolve the issue.

Sheikh Saliu cited Ikorodu’s former connection to Epe as a stark example of how neglecting unity could lead to further retrogression, stressing that the responsibility to address this issue now rests with the people of Epe.

Similarly, the Illali Imam, Sheikh Muyideen Balogun, warmly welcomed the Epe Club team at Tafsir Mosque, where he prayed for the continued success of the club’s efforts. He also welcomed the representatives at Itaopo Central Mosque, where he offered prayers and encouraged the club to extend its palliative programs beyond Ramadan.
