Eredo Local Council Development Area has continued its monthly welfare intervention programme with financial support for 250 widows and elderly residents across the council area.
Epe Insights reports that the initiative forms part of the council’s Monthly Renewed Hope Cash Initiative introduced under the leadership of Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye.
The programme was designed to provide relief and support for vulnerable residents, particularly widows and senior citizens facing economic challenges.
Beneficiaries received monthly stipends aimed at improving their welfare and helping them meet basic daily needs.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to compassionate and people-oriented governance.

He stated that supporting widows and elderly residents remains a priority of the council’s social welfare agenda.
According to the chairman, the Monthly Renewed Hope Cash Initiative will continue as a consistent programme across the LCDA.
He also disclosed that plans are already underway to expand the initiative in order to accommodate more vulnerable residents within the communities.
Hon. Akinloye noted that social intervention programmes remain essential in promoting inclusiveness and reducing hardship among disadvantaged groups.
