Epe Community celebrated Eid-el-Fitr 2025 with prayers, calling for development and unity.
Epe Insights reports that the Epe Division was filled with joy and celebration as Muslims gathered in large numbers at the Eid ground to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan 2025.
The event, which was a moment of prayer, reflection, and thanksgiving, brought together religious leaders, traditional chiefs, and community members.
The Chief Imam of Epe Land, Sheikh Abdul-Kabir Oriyomi, who led Eid prayer, praised Almighty Allah for granting the faithful the opportunity to witness the end of Ramadan.
In his sermon, the Chief Imam of Epe Land highlighted the significance of the fast, urging Muslims to internalize the lessons learned during the sacred month.
“Ramadan serves as a spiritual training period, leaving us renewed in faith. The immense rewards of fasting are beyond measure, and the greatest reward is paradise.
“Let us continue to uphold the virtues of patience, kindness, and devotion to Allah,” he said.
The Chief Imam of Epe Land also congratulated all Muslims on the celebration, offering special felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudden Ishola Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe.
Sheikh Oriyomi concluded with prayers for the continued progress and prosperity of the Epe people and the entire Epe Division.
Similarly, Sheikh Sadala Abiola Aliru, the President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas, Epe Division, encouraged Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith and uphold the values of righteousness, self-discipline, and devotion to God, just as they did during Ramadan.
“The essence of Ramadan should not end with the fasting period. We must continue to live with patience, kindness, and a strong sense of faith in our daily lives.
“I also pray for the continued growth and development of Epe Division,” he said.
In an interview, the Balogun of Epe Kingdom, High Chief Musliudeen Odedeogboro, congratulated Muslims on successfully completing the fast and prayed for their good health and prosperity.
“It is a great privilege to witness another Eid. I congratulate all our Muslim brothers and sisters and pray that we celebrate many more in good health, peace, and abundance,” he stated.
Similarly, High Chief Tajudeen Ajiborisha, the Otun Seriki of Epe Kingdom, extended his Eid greetings and urged the youth to be positive representatives of their community and the nation.
“The youth are the future of our society. I encourage them to be role models, uphold good morals, and contribute positively to the progress of Epe and Nigeria as a whole,” he said.
