Community Security Operatives Back Kasali’s Safety Drive

Lekki Local Council Development Area, held a strategic meeting with multiple security formations and community protection groups to reinforce safety across the LCDA.

Epe Insights reports that the meeting brought together key security stakeholders including Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps operatives, Forest Guards, Olokun Boys, Vigilante Group members, and Neighborhood Watch teams operating across Lekki communities.

The engagement focused on strengthening coordination among formal security agencies and grassroots protection structures to improve response capacity and community safety.

Engr. Kasali acknowledged the vital role played by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other security agencies in maintaining peace and protecting critical public infrastructure within the LCDA.

He also commended the Forest Guards, Olokun Boys, Vigilante Group, and Neighborhood Watch teams for their continuous presence in local communities and their familiarity with the terrain.

According to him, effective security management in Lekki LCDA requires strong synergy between professional security agencies and community-based operatives working at the grassroots level.

The Chairman emphasized that enhancing the capacity of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and supporting other security formations remains central to the administration’s safety strategy.

He further noted that collaboration among the Forest Guards, Olokun Boys, Vigilante Group, and Neighborhood Watch teams will help ensure faster response to security concerns across communities.

As part of new safety measures, Engr. Kasali announced plans to deploy additional security personnel to public schools within Lekki LCDA.

He said the initiative is aimed at strengthening protection for pupils, students, teachers, and school facilities across the council area.
