She is also the daughter of the late Honourable Bolariwa Sonayo James, further connecting her to a legacy of public service and community leadership.

In terms of education, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Human Resources Management from the University of Hull in the United Kingdom.

She also obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus on Community Development from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Nigeria.

Her academic background has shaped her professional focus on social development, institutional strengthening, and community-based governance systems.

With over 15 years of professional experience, she has built a career spanning public policy, sustainability, risk governance, and human capital development.

Princess Sonayon-James previously served as Supervisor for Agriculture and Social Services in Badagry West LCDA.
