Chief Bode Oyedele, FCA, has been named Vice Director-General for Lagos East in the Lagos State APC Campaign Council for the party’s 2027 governorship campaign.
Epe Insights reports that Oyedele is among the officials listed in the campaign council structure released by the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The appointment places Oyedele in charge of the Lagos East segment of the campaign council’s vice-director-general structure.
According to the published council list, Chief Mrs. Olayinka Olusanya was named Assistant Vice Director-General for Lagos East, while Dr. Olarenwaju Dixon was listed as Secretary for the zone.
The Lagos East structure forms part of the wider campaign organisation established by the Lagos APC to coordinate its activities ahead of the 2027 election.
The main campaign council is headed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Chairman, while Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat is listed as Deputy Chairman.
Senator Musiliu Obanikoro was named Director-General, with Hon. Rasaq Ajala as Deputy Director-General and Dr. Adekunle Olayinka as Campaign Secretary.
The campaign council also includes vice-director-general positions covering Lagos Central, Lagos East, Lagos West I and Lagos West II.
Chief Abayomi Daramola was listed as Vice Director-General for Lagos Central, while Chief Sunday Babatunde Aboyade and Hon. Fatai Ayoola were named Vice Directors-General for Lagos West I and West II respectively.
Oyedele’s appointment therefore gives Lagos East representation at a senior level within the campaign council’s organisational structure.
The council’s membership includes party leaders, political office holders and stakeholders assigned to different directorates and committees.
Several specialised areas have also been provided for within the campaign structure, including grassroots mobilisation, administration and logistics, welfare services, humanitarian services and traditional institutions.
Other areas include legal and compliance, religious affairs, residents’ associations, diaspora engagement, women affairs, new media and volunteer groups.
The broad structure is intended to provide different areas of responsibility as the party prepares for the 2027 governorship election.
Oyedele’s role specifically places him within the Lagos East leadership arrangement of the campaign council.
Lagos East is one of the senatorial divisions covered by the state-wide campaign structure.
The published list also includes Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, as a member of the campaign council.
The inclusion of Olowa alongside Oyedele provides representation for Ibeju-Lekki within the wider campaign organisation.
The campaign council is expected to coordinate party activities through its various directorates and regional structures as preparations continue.
The formal inauguration of the council was scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Lagos APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja, according to reports published ahead of the event.
The inauguration follows the release of the council structure as the party begins organising its campaign machinery for the 2027 electoral cycle.
Oyedele’s appointment as Vice Director-General for Lagos East consequently forms part of the party’s effort to establish regional coordination within the campaign structure.
The role will place him among officials responsible for coordinating activities within the Lagos East segment of the council.
