The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Anomo, has completed the final inspection of the newly constructed Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Divisional Headquarters in Odo-Ayandelu ahead of its official commissioning.
Epe Insights reports that the inspection formed part of Chairman Anomo’s determination to ensure the facility meets the highest standard before it is formally commissioned and handed over for immediate use.
Akogun Wale Anomo personally toured the completed headquarters and examined every section of the project. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of construction and confirmed that the building is fully ready for occupation.
The Chairman’s visit reflects his administration’s strong commitment to strengthening security across Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. Since assuming office, Anomo has consistently prioritised investments that improve public safety and protect residents.
The newly completed NSCDC Divisional Headquarters has been furnished with modern office furniture to provide officers with a functional and comfortable working environment from the first day of operation.
The facility also features modern electrical installations designed to support efficient administrative and operational activities. A power generating set has equally been installed to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply.
In addition to the new headquarters, Akogun Wale Anomo has equipped the division with a newly procured patrol vehicle to improve security operations throughout the council area.
As part of the inspection exercise, the Chairman personally test-drove the patrol vehicle to confirm its operational readiness before the official handover. The exercise demonstrated his hands-on approach to governance and his attention to detail.
The newly acquired patrol vehicle complements the operational motorcycle previously donated by the Anomo administration to support security agencies. Together, the logistics are expected to improve mobility and rapid response to emergencies.
Chairman Anomo said his administration remains committed to providing practical support for security agencies operating within Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA. He noted that effective security requires not only personnel but also the necessary infrastructure and operational tools.
According to him, strengthening the council’s security architecture remains a top priority. He stressed that investments in modern facilities and logistics will enable security personnel to perform their duties more effectively.
The Chairman explained that the construction of the NSCDC Divisional Headquarters represents another landmark achievement of his administration. He described the project as a strategic investment in the peace, safety and development of the council.
Anomo further stated that improved security creates an enabling environment for businesses, attracts investment and encourages sustainable community development. He added that no meaningful development can thrive without adequate security.
The new divisional headquarters is expected to enhance coordination among security agencies operating within Odo-Ayandelu and neighbouring communities. It will also strengthen the NSCDC’s ability to protect critical infrastructure and public assets.
