The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has received the Convener of the Asiwaju Mobilization Group (AMG), Amb. Oladeinde David Adekunle, and his delegation during a strategic visit to strengthen political collaboration ahead of the 2027 general election.
Epe Insights reports that the meeting focused on aligning the mobilisation strategies of the Asiwaju Mobilization Group with the development and political vision of Epe Local Government in preparation for the forthcoming elections.
Amb. Oladeinde David Adekunle led members of the AMG on the courtesy visit, describing the engagement as an opportunity to build stronger collaboration with the local government leadership.
The delegation explained that the visit was aimed at harmonising the group’s grassroots mobilisation plans with the council’s broader vision for sustained political participation and electoral success.
Welcoming the delegation, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun commended the group for its commitment to grassroots mobilisation and political engagement.
She stressed that collaboration among party stakeholders and support groups remains essential to sustaining the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across Epe Division and Lagos State.
The council chairman reaffirmed her commitment to working with the Asiwaju Mobilization Group to deliver overwhelming electoral victories for the APC in future elections.
According to her, the collective objective is to secure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while ensuring victory for all APC candidates seeking elective offices.
Princess Surah expressed confidence that coordinated grassroots mobilisation would further strengthen public support for the party’s programmes and leadership.
She specifically pledged support for the election of Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State.
The chairman also declared her support for the return of Senator Adetokunbo Mukhail Abiru as the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District.
She reaffirmed her commitment to mobilising support for Rep. Wale Raji, who represents the Epe Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
Princess Surah equally expressed confidence in the re-election of Hon. Abiodun Mustainu Tobun as the member representing Epe Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
She noted that unity, effective grassroots mobilisation and sustained engagement with residents remain vital to achieving the party’s electoral goals.
The Executive Chairman assured the delegation that her office would remain open to the Asiwaju Mobilization Group for continuous engagement and productive collaboration.
She encouraged members of the group to maintain regular communication with the council and continue mobilising support across communities within Epe Division.
During the visit, the Asiwaju Mobilization Group formally introduced Raymond Oladapo Eturugo as its Epe Division Coordinator.
The group announced that his appointment takes immediate effect and charged him with coordinating the organisation’s activities across Epe Division.
AMG leaders expressed confidence in Eturugo’s ability to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, improve stakeholder engagement and expand the group’s presence within the division.
They described his appointment as part of broader efforts to build a more coordinated structure capable of supporting future political campaigns and community outreach programmes.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for discussions on political participation, community engagement and strategies for strengthening the APC’s support base at the grassroots.
Both parties agreed that collaboration between political support groups and elected representatives would contribute significantly to effective mobilisation ahead of the next general election.
The engagement ended with a shared commitment to promoting unity, inclusive participation and sustained grassroots involvement across Epe Local Government and the wider Epe Division.
