THEDSF Seeks Oloja’s Backing for Tinubu, Hamzat

The Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF) has paid a consultation visit to the Oloja of Epe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun, to seek his royal blessings and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential and governorship candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Epe Insights reports that the delegation, led by the Director-General of THEDSF, Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo, popularly known as GMO, formally introduced the group to the revered monarch and outlined its mission of mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as the APC’s presidential and governorship candidates.

According to Olasupo, the solidarity group covers the entire Epe Division, including Lekki LCDA, with members committed to delivering electoral support for the APC during the 2027 general elections.

He described the visit as a mark of respect for the traditional institution, noting that the group considered it important to obtain the monarch’s royal blessings before commencing its mobilisation activities across the division.

The THEDSF Director-General praised Oba Animashaun for his longstanding contributions to the growth of the APC in Epe Division, saying the monarch has consistently played a significant role in strengthening the party’s electoral success over the years.

He also acknowledged the traditional ruler’s influence in promoting political stability and encouraging civic participation within the division.

Olasupo appealed to the monarch to continue supporting efforts aimed at encouraging eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate actively in the forthcoming elections.

Responding, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun welcomed the delegation and commended the group’s leadership for consulting the traditional institution before embarking on its political activities.

The monarch expressed confidence in the APC leadership and encouraged residents to participate fully in the democratic process by obtaining their PVCs and exercising their constitutional right to vote during the 2027 general elections.

He also urged members of the group to conduct their mobilisation peacefully, lawfully and in a manner that promotes unity and development across Epe Division.

Oba Animashaun assured the delegation of his goodwill and support for initiatives that encourage peaceful political participation and civic engagement among residents.

Members of the Oloja-in-Council witnessed the consultation meeting, which concluded with prayers for peaceful elections, sustained development and continued progress across Epe Division.

The visit underscores the continued engagement between political stakeholders and traditional institutions as preparations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections in Lagos State.
