Epe Insights reports that the chairman made the disclosure during a stakeholders’ security meeting organised by his administration in Ikosi-Ejinrin.

He explained that the return of stable electricity has been a key priority for local council administrations in the division.

According to him, previous attempts to restore power supply were affected by repeated acts of cable vandalism in some communities.

He noted that such incidents have contributed significantly to the prolonged blackout being experienced in parts of Epe Division.

Raji-Anomo stated that the three council chairmen in the division have now renewed their collaboration to address the challenge.

He listed the chairmen as himself, the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, and the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun.

The chairman explained that the renewed partnership was facilitated through the Lagos State Ministry of Energy.

He disclosed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with a private company responsible for securing electricity infrastructure.

The agreement is aimed at protecting electric cables and related facilities from vandalism and theft.

According to him, the new arrangement is expected to ensure a more stable and uninterrupted power supply across the division.

Raji-Anomo expressed optimism that the ongoing works will soon lead to the restoration of electricity in the area.

He added that residents would begin to see visible improvements as installation and protection measures progress.
