Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening agriculture and supporting farmers during the Y2026 Farmers’ Forum organised by the Lagos State Agricultural Inputs and Supply Authority (LAISA).
Epe Insights reports that the First Lady attended the Y2026 Farmers’ Forum alongside agricultural stakeholders, farmers and government officials to promote collaboration aimed at boosting food production and improving the agricultural sector.
Dr. Sanwo-Olu commended the General Manager of LAISA, Mrs. Olufolake Oluyemi, and her management team for organising the forum, describing it as a valuable platform for engaging farmers and addressing key issues affecting agricultural productivity.
She noted that initiatives such as the Farmers’ Forum encourage knowledge sharing, innovation and stronger partnerships between government agencies and farmers across Lagos State.
The First Lady emphasised the importance of improving farmers’ access to quality agricultural inputs, modern farming techniques and other resources needed to increase food production.
She reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s commitment to implementing programmes that promote food security, improve farmers’ livelihoods and strengthen the entire agricultural value chain.
According to her, continued investment in agriculture remains essential to ensuring sustainable economic growth, creating employment opportunities and supporting rural development.
Dr. Sanwo-Olu also encouraged farmers to embrace innovation and take advantage of government initiatives designed to enhance productivity and improve agricultural outcomes.
She expressed confidence that stronger collaboration among stakeholders would contribute to a more resilient and sustainable agricultural sector in Lagos State.
The Y2026 Farmers’ Forum provided participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges and explore practical solutions for advancing agriculture across the state.
