The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Epe Division Command, has praised key local government chairmen and the Nigeria Police Force for strengthening community security across the division.
Epe Insights reports that the Epe Division Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Alhaji Comrade Jimoh Tiri Alabi, made the commendation while speaking with Sources Digest News Media correspondents on the impact of collaboration in improving grassroots security.
Comrade Tiri applauded the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, for her continuous support towards community policing and local security initiatives.

He also appreciated the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye, for providing encouragement and support that have strengthened the activities of vigilante operatives across the division.

The Epe Division Commander further commended the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, for his commitment to improving grassroots security through sustained cooperation with the Vigilante Group.

According to Comrade Tiri, the support received from the three council chairmen has enhanced operational effectiveness by providing logistics, encouragement, and enabling a stronger security presence within their respective communities.
He noted that the partnership between the local governments and the Vigilante Group has contributed significantly to maintaining peace and public safety across Epe Division.
Comrade Tiri also praised the Lagos State Commander of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Comrade Tajudeen Opeyemi, for his leadership and commitment to reforming the organisation across the state.
He said the state command has introduced regular physical drills and structured training programmes that have improved the professionalism and preparedness of vigilante personnel.
The commander explained that continuous capacity building has equipped members with better operational knowledge while improving coordination with other security agencies.
He added that enhanced communication channels and established operational protocols with the Nigeria Police have made community policing more efficient throughout the division.
According to him, the improved partnership between the Vigilante Group and the Police has increased public confidence and strengthened efforts to safeguard lives and property.
Comrade Tiri equally expressed appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force, particularly the Epe Division and Lagos State Command, for maintaining a cordial working relationship with the Vigilante Group.
He described the Police as dependable partners whose guidance, professionalism, and timely operational support have boosted the effectiveness of vigilante activities.
The commander noted that the open collaboration between both organisations has created a stronger security network capable of responding to community concerns promptly.
He stressed that the mutual respect shared by the Police and the Vigilante Group continues to promote safer neighbourhoods across Epe Division.
Comrade Tiri reaffirmed the commitment of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria to sustaining its partnership with the Nigeria Police, local government councils, and community stakeholders.
He assured residents that the group would remain dedicated to supporting lawful security efforts and promoting lasting peace throughout Epe Division.
He also encouraged community members to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing useful information that will help maintain safety and public order.
