The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, has distributed food packs to more than 10,000 households across the district as part of activities marking the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Epe Insights reports that beneficiaries of the food support programme were drawn from communities across Epe, Ikorodu, Ibeju-Lekki, Kosofe, and Somolu Local Government Areas, covering the five divisions that make up Lagos East Senatorial District.
The distribution was aimed at supporting families during the Eid-el-Kabir festivities and easing the financial burden on households amid prevailing economic challenges. Thousands of residents benefitted from the intervention.
In addition to the food packs, Senator Abiru donated rams and cows to various groups and communities across the district to facilitate the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir. The gesture was widely welcomed by beneficiaries.
