The Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in the area and beyond on the occasion of Eid Ul Adha, calling for continued prayers, unity, and compassion among residents.
Epe Insights reports that the Chairman congratulated Muslim families on the successful celebration of Eid, describing the season as a sacred reminder of sacrifice, devotion, and gratitude to Almighty Allah. He prayed that the blessings of the festival bring peace, joy, and prosperity to every household.
He further prayed that Allah accepts the Qurbani of the faithful and grants forgiveness, good health, and lasting prosperity to all residents. According to him, Eid serves as a spiritual moment to reflect on obedience, humility, and service to humanity.
The Chairman emphasized the importance of strengthening community bonds through acts of kindness and mutual support. He noted that the teachings of Eid encourage believers to care for one another and promote harmony in society.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the development of Ibeju-Lekki under the S.H.I.E.E.L.D. Agenda. He described the initiative as a people-focused framework aimed at delivering inclusive growth and improved living standards.
According to him, the administration remains dedicated to policies that enhance welfare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and social development across the local government. He stressed that no resident would be left behind in the development process.

As part of Eid celebrations, the Chairman announced the provision of free transportation for residents to ease movement during the festive period. He said the initiative was designed to support families and ensure a smooth and stress-free celebration.
He also disclosed a ₦50,000 financial support scheme for students within the local government. He explained that the gesture is intended to help young people participate meaningfully in the Eid celebrations and reduce financial pressure on families.
The Chairman noted that these interventions reflect the government’s commitment to compassion and shared prosperity. He added that leadership must remain responsive to the needs of the people, especially during important religious festivals.
He called on residents to continue praying for peace, stability, and progress in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large. He urged citizens to remain united in building a stronger and more prosperous society.
He also encouraged religious harmony and mutual respect among all communities, noting that diversity should be embraced as a strength. He said peaceful coexistence remains key to sustainable development.
