Ibeju-Lekki Local Government organised a sensitisation programme and inaugurated all statutory committees to strengthen transparency, accountability, and effective procurement processes.
Epe Insights reports that the event was held at the Council Secretariat and formally opened by Executive Chairman Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa.
Chairman Olowa emphasised strict adherence to budgetary and financial guidelines by all Heads of Departments.
He stressed integrity, accountability, and effective in-house auditing as essential tools for sound governance.
Council Manager Dr Adekoya Adesanya highlighted the importance of observing procurement protocols and maintaining financial discipline.
Head of Procurement, Miss Issa R. Titilola, described public procurement as a vital tool for good governance and outlined key guiding principles, including value for money, transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Facilitator Wasiu A. Onanuga delivered a lecture on effective implementation of procurement processes, stressing lawful and sustainable acquisition and disposal of goods and services.
The programme concluded with the formal inauguration of all statutory committees, marking a key step toward strengthening institutional frameworks in Ibeju-Lekki.
Dignitaries present included Vice Chairman Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji, Leader of the House Hon. Olayinka Mojeed Oluwafemi, Chief of Staff Hon. Issa Moruf Olayinka, department heads, directors, and other top management staff.
Observers described the initiative as a critical step in promoting responsible governance and enhancing public service delivery across the local government.
