His Excellency Alhaji Olabode Kashif Oyedele (FCA), fondly known as Baba Oba of Orimedu, hosted his Annual Ramadan Lecture at Ocean Drive, Orimedu, in the Ibeju-Lekki axis.

The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, was represented at the event by his Vice Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji.
Delivering the keynote lecture, Sheikh Murthado Abdul-Gafar Arikewuyo spoke on the topic, “Ramadan & Economic Resilience: Exploring Islamic Principles for Overcoming Financial Hardship.”

He emphasized patience, charity (sadaqah), prudent financial stewardship, reliance on Allah, and community solidarity as practical tools for overcoming economic challenges.
The lecture resonated strongly with attendees, particularly amid prevailing economic realities affecting many Nigerians.
Representing the council chairman, Hon. Olatunji conveyed Hon. Olowa’s goodwill message and commended the host for sustaining an initiative that promotes spiritual growth and socio-economic awareness.
