The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to engineering-led development by unveiling the Lagasa Clean Water Vision during the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Ibeju-Lekki Branch General Meeting.

A major highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Lagasa Clean Water Vision, an initiative championed by Hon. Olowa to improve access to potable water for residents across the local government.
The chairman explained that the project is designed to establish a scalable and metered water distribution system capable of delivering clean and safe water directly to households.
He said the initiative aligns with his administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life of residents through sustainable infrastructure and essential public services.

During the meeting, Hon. Olowa also congratulated the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Ibeju-Lekki Branch, on its impressive growth within its first year of operation.

Hon. Olowa also called on the society to support the Local Government’s Career Accelerator Programme (CAP), an initiative focused on preparing young people for employment opportunities.
He explained that the programme is designed to equip skilled youths with the knowledge and competencies required to meet the demands of industries operating within the rapidly expanding industrial corridor.
The chairman urged engineering professionals and private sector stakeholders to connect industries with qualified young talents emerging from the Career Accelerator Programme.
According to him, stronger collaboration between government, professional bodies, and industry will create employment opportunities and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
He stressed that investing in youth development remains one of the priorities of his administration as Ibeju-Lekki continues to attract major industrial and commercial investments.
