NCF has commenced the promotion of environmental sustainability in Lagos schools.
Epe Insights reports that the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) in partnership with Total Energies Marketing Nigeria Plc, has begun a green initiative aimed at the promotion of environmental sustainability and raising awareness about climate action among communities and young individuals.
The programme launched at the Kuramo Junior and Senior Secondary Schools in Victoria Island, Lagos, highlighted the value of protecting the environment and promoting climate actions through employee volunteering, awareness creation on the journey towards a circular economy, and educating communities on the need to protect the environment and leave behind, a sustainable world for future generations.
The initiative involves donating recycling bins to schools and organising clean-up challenges to emphasise the importance of recycling and its environmental benefits in 10 schools. Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director of TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc, Dr Samba Seye, stressed the company’s commitment to protecting the environment and promoting climate action.
“As a responsible corporate entity, TotalEnergies encourages our communities to maintain environmentally sustainable practices and contribute to a cleaner world,” Seye said, adding, “By taking part in these activities, we are fostering a spirit of environmental consciousness and responsibility.”
