Lagos State just got a major boost in emergency healthcare delivery through a powerful partnership between the public and private sectors.

EpeInsights reports that in a heartening show of corporate social responsibility, Custodian Investment Plc, through its Custodian Social Responsibility Foundation (CSRF), gifted the people of Epe a fully equipped, ultra-modern Accident and Emergency Centre.

Located within the Federal Medical Centre in Epe, this life-saving facility is set to serve not only residents but also the growing number of commuters along the ever-busy express corridor.

The official handover ceremony, held today, was a celebration of impact and partnership. Attended by top government officials, traditional leaders, healthcare professionals, and business leaders, the event marked a milestone in Lagos’ ongoing effort to decentralize and strengthen its healthcare infrastructure.

Described as a Level IV Trauma Centre, the facility is tailored for fast, professional response to emergencies — from road accidents to medical crises — especially in areas that have long struggled with access to immediate care.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was on ground to receive the centre on behalf of the state government. He praised Custodian Investment Plc for what he called “a bold step forward in expanding access to urgent and life-saving medical services.”

According to the Governor, the project is a shining example of what can be achieved when private sector innovation meets public sector goals.

“This is a world-class facility,” Governor Sanwo-Olu said, acknowledging the role of the Lagos State Ministry of Health in the project’s execution. “Epe’s selection for this project sends a clear message — every part of Lagos matters. Today, it’s Epe’s turn to shine.”

He also used the occasion to call on other corporate organizations to take a cue from Custodian’s initiative, stressing the importance of collective effort in improving the wellbeing of Lagosians.

With the Custodian Accident and Emergency Centre now in operation, Epe residents can breathe a little easier knowing that help is now closer and faster than ever before.
