Epe was abuzz with excitement on Friday, May 9, 2025, as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu led a high-powered delegation including top government officials and revered royal fathers to officially commission the first-ever Accident and Emergency Centre in the division.
EpeInsights reports that the ultra-modern facility, located at the newly transformed Federal Medical Centre (formerly General Hospital), Epe, was donated by Custodian Investment PLC as part of its commitment to boosting healthcare delivery in Lagos State.
The event marked a significant milestone, not just for Epe, but for the entire Lagos health sector. In his remarks, Governor Sanwo-Olu celebrated the people of Epe for being the first in the five divisions of the state to benefit from such a facility.
He commended Custodian Investment for their generous intervention through the Custodian Social Responsibility Foundation (CSRF) and reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to the Public-Private Partnership Programme (PPPP).

Also present were Health Commissioner Prof. Akin Abayomi and Special Adviser on Health Dr. (Mrs.) Kemi Ogunyemi, who both applauded the governor’s speedy approval and unrelenting commitment to quality healthcare for all, regardless of location.
Representing Custodian Investment PLC, Group MD Mr. Wole Oshin and CSRF CEO Mrs. Olubunmi Aderemi hailed Lagos as a true “Centre of Excellence,” crediting the state’s leadership for making the dream project a reality.
