The Eredo Local Council Development Area administration has continued its welfare intervention programme with the distribution of monthly cash support and Eid packages to widows and elderly residents across the council area.

Epe Insights reports that the initiative was carried out under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, as part of the council’s Monthly Renewed Hope Cash Support Programme designed to assist vulnerable members of the community.

A total of 350 beneficiaries received financial assistance during the May edition of the programme. The beneficiaries included widows and elderly residents selected from various communities within Eredo LCDA.

The cash support initiative aims to provide relief to vulnerable residents and improve their welfare amid prevailing economic challenges. It also reflects the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and social support.

In addition to the financial assistance, beneficiaries received Eid packages to enable them celebrate the festive season with greater comfort and dignity. The gesture was widely welcomed by recipients and community members.

Speaking on the programme, the council reaffirmed its dedication to compassionate governance and people-oriented policies. The administration stated that the welfare of residents remains a top priority.

Hon. Akinloye emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable groups, particularly widows and senior citizens who require additional care and assistance. He noted that government must remain responsive to the needs of the people.
