The Commander of the United Community Safety (UCS), Comrade Akinloye Maruf, has reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to strengthening community safety and supporting security agencies across Epe Division.
Epe Insights reports that Maruf made the remarks during an extensive discussion on security, community policing and public safety across the division.
The UCS Commander explained that the organisation has continued to work closely with the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies to complement existing efforts to prevent crime.
According to him, the collaboration is aimed at creating a safer environment where residents can conduct their daily activities without fear.
Maruf highlighted several activities carried out by the UCS in support of security operations within communities across the division.
He stressed that community-based security remains important because residents are usually the first to observe unusual movements and activities within their neighbourhoods.
The commander urged residents to remain vigilant and pay attention to developments within their immediate surroundings.
He also encouraged members of the public to provide useful and timely information to security agencies whenever they notice suspicious activities.
Maruf noted that effective community security cannot be achieved by security personnel alone.
