The atmosphere in Epe was filled with excitement on Thursday as a brand-new six-block classroom facility was officially unveiled at Ansar-ud-Deen Primary School.
EpeInsights reports that Member of the House of Representatives representing Epe Federal Constituency, Hon. Wale Raji, who did the inauguration was joined by the Oloja of Epe Land, His Royal Majesty Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun.
The event attracted a wide turnout of community members, traditional rulers, and political leaders, all gathered to witness what many described as a major step forward for education and infrastructure in the area.
In his address, Hon. Raji emphasized that the success of projects like this stems from strong collaboration between government leaders and the community.
He praised Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, for her dedication to education, citing her recent provision of a borehole at Afuye Primary School to complement the 12 classrooms already established there.
“She is truly performing. Even if you bring in a professor, they can’t outperform someone who is already delivering,” Raji said, urging the public to support her for another term.
The federal lawmaker also announced that reconstruction plans are underway for the historic Araromi Market.
He listed several completed markets across Ayetoro, Pobo, Mojoda, Aladepekun, and Mowowale that will soon be commissioned and allocated to traders free of charge.
In her remarks, Hon. Surah Animashaun thanked Rep. Raji for his continued support and lauded the strides being made in the region.
“We’ve never experienced this level of representation in Epe’s history,” she noted. “Thank you for prioritizing the people, not just in Epe Central but across the entire Division.”
Representatives from the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) also commended the development.
Hon. Babatunde Jimoh praised the lawmaker’s impact, describing him as “a lucky man bringing good fortune to Epe.”
APC GAC and Apex Leader, Alhaji Seriki Akanni Bamu, acknowledged the Chairman’s outstanding performance, admitting that she had exceeded expectations. “I didn’t believe she could do it, but she’s proven me wrong. She and Rep. Raji are doing excellently well,” he said.
HRM Oba Kamorudeen reaffirmed his support for any leader who prioritizes Epe’s growth.
“I don’t play politics. I stand with whoever performs. What matters is the development of Epe,” he stated.
The event was graced by several dignitaries including Barr. Tunde Seriki (Baamofin of Epe), Hon. M.A. Killa, Hon. Ayo Odeyemi, Hon. Jambojagbo, Hon. Olamiji Alisson, and many high chiefs and community leaders.
