Lekki Local Council Development Area is advancing the ongoing construction of its Legislative Building and Multipurpose Hall as part of efforts to strengthen the council’s institutional infrastructure and improve facilities for official and community activities.
Epe Insights reports that the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), recently inspected the ongoing project to assess the progress of construction and ensure that the development remains on the right track.
The Legislative Building and Multipurpose Hall are among the infrastructure projects being developed to provide functional spaces for the effective operations and activities of Lekki Local Council Development Area.
The Legislative Building is expected to provide a dedicated environment for legislative business and other official proceedings of the council.
The Multipurpose Hall will provide additional space for official engagements, community programmes, meetings and other activities involving the council and residents.
The development of the facilities is aimed at strengthening the physical infrastructure required to support the administration and activities of Lekki LCDA.
During the inspection, Kasali assessed the level of work on the project and reaffirmed the council’s commitment to ensuring that construction continues according to plan.
The chairman’s inspection reflects the council’s approach of monitoring ongoing infrastructure projects to ensure that they remain aligned with their intended purposes.
Kasali said the Legislative Building and Multipurpose Hall form part of the broader effort to strengthen institutional infrastructure within Lekki LCDA.
He noted that functional council facilities are important to effective administration, legislative activities, official engagements and community-oriented programmes.
According to him, the project is not simply about constructing new structures but about providing facilities that can serve the operational and developmental needs of Lekki LCDA.
The Legislative Building, upon completion, will provide an improved setting for legislative activities and other functions connected with the council’s governance structure.
Similarly, the Multipurpose Hall is expected to accommodate different council programmes and engagements requiring a suitable and functional facility.
Kasali also reiterated his commitment to personally monitoring the council’s projects as they progress.
He said such monitoring would help ensure that resources entrusted to Lekki LCDA are translated into infrastructure capable of delivering lasting value.
The chairman stressed that infrastructure projects should be planned and implemented with both present needs and future requirements in consideration.
