The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, on the occasion of his birthday.
Epe Insights reports that Akinloye described the monarch as a revered father, leader and custodian of the culture and traditions of the Ilara people.
In his birthday message, the Eredo LCDA chairman joined members of the Ilara Kingdom and well-wishers in celebrating the monarch and expressing gratitude for his life and service to the people.
Akinloye said the occasion provided an opportunity to appreciate the Almighty God for the life of Oba Ogunsanwo and the leadership he has continued to provide to the kingdom.
He acknowledged the traditional ruler’s role in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among the people of Ilara Kingdom.
According to the chairman, the monarch’s reign has also been associated with efforts towards the progress and development of the community.
Akinloye expressed appreciation for the wisdom, courage and vision which he said the traditional ruler has brought to his responsibilities as the Alara of Ilara Kingdom.
He noted that traditional institutions remain important to the preservation of culture, heritage and communal values.
The Eredo LCDA chairman also recognised the position of Oba Ogunsanwo as a custodian of the traditions and cultural heritage of the Ilara people.
He said the monarch’s birthday was therefore a significant occasion for the kingdom and its people to celebrate his life and continued service.
On behalf of the Eredo LCDA administration, Akinloye extended warm birthday greetings and goodwill to the Alara of Ilara Kingdom.
He also conveyed the greetings of the people of Eredo LCDA to the monarch as he marks another year.
