The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji-Anomo, has announced renewed efforts aimed at restoring electricity supply across Epe Division in Lagos State.
Epe Insights reports that the chairman made the disclosure on Thursday, June 18, 2026, during a stakeholders’ security meeting held within the local government area.
He explained that the restoration of stable electricity has remained a shared priority among council leaders in the division.
According to him, earlier efforts to fix the power challenge were disrupted by repeated cases of cable vandalism affecting electrical infrastructure.
He noted that these incidents contributed largely to the prolonged blackout experienced across several communities in Epe Division.
Raji-Anomo stated that the three local government chairmen in the division have now strengthened their partnership to resolve the issue permanently.
He listed the collaboration as involving Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Eredo LCDA led by Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, and Epe Local Government chaired by Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun.
The chairman disclosed that the renewed agreement was reached through support from the Lagos State Ministry of Energy.
He added that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with a private firm tasked with protecting electricity installations.
The company will be responsible for safeguarding cables and other critical electrical assets from vandalism and theft.
According to Raji-Anomo, this step is expected to ensure continuous and uninterrupted electricity supply across the division.
He expressed confidence that ongoing field activities would soon translate into visible improvement in power availability.
The chairman noted that work is already progressing across key areas where installations and protective measures are being implemented.
He appealed to residents to support government efforts by protecting public infrastructure within their communities.
Raji-Anomo stressed that community cooperation is essential in sustaining any long-term power restoration plan.

He also highlighted that improved electricity supply would boost economic activities, security, and overall development in the region.
The stakeholders’ meeting also addressed broader security concerns affecting Ikosi-Ejinrin and surrounding communities.
He emphasized that development and security must be jointly addressed to achieve meaningful progress.
Residents were urged to remain alert and report any suspicious activities that could threaten public utilities or installations.
The chairman assured that all necessary measures have been put in place to prevent future damage to power infrastructure.
He said the partnership between local councils, state agencies, and private sector operators will strengthen service delivery.

Raji-Anomo reaffirmed that electricity restoration remains one of the key development goals of the current administration in the division.
He described the initiative as a major step toward improving living standards and attracting more investment to the area.
He further assured residents that the project is being closely monitored to ensure quality and sustainability.
According to him, coordination between all stakeholders will ensure long-term stability in electricity supply.
The chairman concluded by reiterating that the return of steady power is now at an advanced and promising stage.
