The Supervisor for Youth and Sports and the Special Adviser in Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have held their first official meeting with the executive members of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) at the Council Secretariat in Agbowa.
Epe Insights reports that the meeting focused on strengthening youth engagement and fostering collaboration within the LCDA.
The Head of Department for Agriculture, Mr Paramole, who welcomed participants, stated that the meeting was convened to enhance youth welfare, ensure proper coordination, and promote meaningful empowerment initiatives. He emphasised the importance of structured collaboration between the council and youth bodies.

Speaking during the session, Comrade Raji Olusegun highlighted the need for unity among youths across all communities in Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA.
He urged youth leaders to take proactive steps in addressing indiscipline and discouraging unruly behavior among young people.
He also noted that the inclusion of about ten youths in the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, marks a significant milestone for youth representation in the council.

Comrade Yusuf Olabode, Coordinator of the NYCN Ikosi-Ejirin Chapter, described the gathering as a historic engagement.
He provided insights into the formation of the current executive council and commended the Executive Chairman for demonstrating confidence in young people.
He further appealed for increased support from the council to enable the successful execution of youth-focused programs.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Hon. Adekoya Gbenga, appreciated the turnout and encouraged youths to remain law-abiding. He stressed the importance of discipline and active participation in initiatives that contribute to community development.
Also addressing the gathering, the Supervisor for Youth and Sports, Hon. Ajewole Regina, reaffirmed her commitment to delivering effective governance in collaboration with the Executive Chairman.

She encouraged youths to maintain open communication with the council, particularly regarding upcoming programs and activities.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from both council officials and youth leaders to work together in promoting unity, empowerment, and sustainable development within Ikosi-Ejirin LCDA.
