The Lekki Local Council Development Area has carried out a comprehensive fumigation exercise at RCM Primary School, Idotun, as part of efforts to safeguard the health of pupils and staff.

Epe Insights reports that the exercise was conducted by the Environmental Department under the leadership of Mrs Gbemiyi Grace, following a directive from the Executive Chairman, Rasaki Bamidele Kasali.

The intervention was implemented in response to environmental health concerns on the school premises.

From the early hours of the morning, environmental officials were on the ground to execute the exercise.

Classrooms, administrative offices, staff rooms, corridors, and the surrounding school environment were thoroughly treated.

The fumigation targeted mosquitoes, rodents, and other harmful pests that could pose threats to children’s health.

Officials ensured that all safety protocols were observed during the process.

According to the council, the initiative reflects its broader commitment to maintaining hygienic and conducive learning environments across schools within the LCDA.
