Tunde Onile Earns Islamic Merit Award

Alhaji Orilowo Mutairu, popularly known as Tunde Onile, has been honoured with an Islamic Merit Award and conferred with the prestigious Islamic chieftaincy title of Arowosafe Adinni by the Alhaji Olatunde Kewulere Central Mosque, Iraye, Epe, in recognition of his outstanding service to Islam and humanity.

Epe Insights reports that the honour was presented during a colourful ceremony held at the Recreation Centre in Epe, where Islamic scholars, traditional leaders, community members, and dignitaries gathered to celebrate Alhaji Orilowo’s unwavering commitment to the growth of Islam and humanitarian causes.

The award recognised his years of dedicated support for Islamic activities, mosque development, and charitable initiatives across Epe, Lagos State, and other communities.

Speaking at the event, the founder of More Blessing Society Worldwide, Fadeelat Sheikh Alhaji Idrees Akanni Ijaodola Ubaidallah More Blessing, described the award recipient as one of the foremost supporters of Islam in Epe.

According to the respected Islamic scholar, Alhaji Orilowo has consistently demonstrated generosity by supporting the construction and development of mosques as well as various Islamic organisations.

He said the philanthropist has made remarkable financial contributions to the advancement of Islam without discrimination, earning the respect and admiration of many within and outside Epe.

The cleric noted that Alhaji Orilowo’s selfless commitment has left a lasting impact on numerous religious and community projects.

He added that the recognition was well deserved because of the awardee’s unwavering dedication to serving Allah and humanity.

Also speaking, the Mufti of Epe Land, Alhaji AbdulKabir, commended Alhaji Orilowo for his outstanding contributions to the Islamic faith.

He described the Islamic Merit Award and the chieftaincy title as a fitting recognition of the philanthropist’s enduring support for religious development.

The Mufti encouraged the award recipient to sustain his charitable efforts while urging other wealthy individuals in Epe to emulate his example of generosity and community service.

In appreciation of the honour, Alhaji Orilowo announced another major donation to the Alhaji Olatunde Kewulere Central Mosque.

He pledged to install air-conditioning units in the mosque, with work scheduled to commence from Monday, July 27, 2026, to improve the comfort of worshippers.

His wife also supported the mosque by making a generous financial donation as a mark of appreciation for the recognition bestowed on her husband.
