The Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF) is set to commence an intensive training programme for 601 Polling Unit Volunteers (PUVs) across Epe Division as part of its grassroots mobilisation activities ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Epe Insights reports that the training is scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area hosting the first phase, while other participating LGAs and LCDAs will take their turns according to the organisation’s approved training timetable.
The programme will bring together selected Polling Unit Volunteers from Epe LGA, Ibeju-Lekki LGA, Eredo LCDA, Lekki LCDA and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
According to THEDSF, the structure covers 30 wards and 601 polling units across the five LGAs and LCDAs in Epe Division.
The Director-General of THEDSF, Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo, described the initiative as a strategic step in the organisation’s grassroots engagement framework.
He said the training was designed to strengthen the group’s approach to grassroots mobilisation through a structured, data-driven and result-oriented model.
The programme is expected to equip the volunteers with practical knowledge, relevant information and grassroots engagement strategies for community-level mobilisation.
THEDSF said the volunteers would be trained on approaches including door-to-door engagements, base-to-base mobilisation, market-to-market outreach and community-to-community interactions.

The organisation said the training is intended to establish a more coordinated network of volunteers capable of engaging residents within their respective polling-unit environments.
The Director of Mobilisation and Membership, Amb. Bukola Animashaun, said the programme forms part of THEDSF’s wider mobilisation strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.
Animashaun stated that the organisation has set a target of 200,000 votes in Epe Division for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru and other APC candidates.
The 200,000-vote figure is THEDSF’s stated mobilisation target and is not an official election forecast.
The Independent National Electoral Commission has scheduled the Presidential and National Assembly elections for February 20, 2027, while the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections are scheduled for March 6, 2027.
The Director of Communications, Engr. Ahmed Gbajumo, said the physical training would complement THEDSF’s growing social media presence and sustained online engagement across the five LGAs and LCDAs.
According to Gbajumo, the initiative is aimed at bridging the gap between digital mobilisation and community-level engagement.
He explained that the programme would help create a more coordinated volunteer network capable of operating effectively within respective polling-unit environments.

The communications director added that combining online engagement with physical grassroots activities would strengthen communication and coordination among volunteers.
THEDSF said its training programme represents another phase in its grassroots mobilisation structure, with emphasis on volunteer coordination, communication, field engagement and data-informed mobilisation.
The organisation is expected to continue the training across the participating LGAs and LCDAs after the opening session in Ibeju-Lekki on October 10.
The initiative comes as political organisations and support groups intensify their preparations and grassroots activities ahead of the 2027 elections.
THEDSF said the programme is designed to strengthen its presence at the community and polling-unit levels across Epe Division as it works towards its stated mobilisation objectives for the 2027 electoral cycle.
