The Tinubu-Hamzat Epe Division Solidarity Front (THEDSF) has intensified its grassroots consultation across Epe Division with a strategic visit to the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Epe Insights reports that the delegation was led by the Director-General of THEDSF, Comrade Giwa Moshood Olasupo (G.M.O.), who met with the council chairman to discuss grassroots mobilisation, voter education, youth participation, and strategies for strengthening political engagement across Epe Division.
Speaking during the consultation, Comrade Giwa explained that the visit formed part of THEDSF’s ongoing engagement with political leaders, traditional institutions, and critical stakeholders ahead of the movement’s formal inauguration.
He said the consultations are designed to promote collaboration, strengthen party structures, and build a united grassroots network capable of supporting development and democratic participation throughout Epe Division.
According to the Director-General, THEDSF was established to complement the efforts of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by expanding grassroots mobilisation and encouraging wider voter participation.
He noted that the movement is committed to building an inclusive platform that brings together youths, women, professionals, community leaders, and party stakeholders under a common vision of progress.
Comrade Giwa disclosed that THEDSF has set an ambitious target of significantly improving the APC’s electoral performance in the 2027 general elections by increasing voter participation across the division.
He revealed that the movement plans to deploy Polling Unit Volunteers (PUVs) in all 601 polling units across Epe Division to strengthen voter education, community engagement, and election-day coordination.
According to him, the Polling Unit Volunteers will serve as grassroots ambassadors responsible for mobilising residents, educating voters, and encouraging peaceful participation in the democratic process.
“Our objective is to build a formidable grassroots structure that will complement the efforts of our leaders and ensure greater participation in the electoral process. We are mobilising Polling Unit Volunteers across all 601 polling units, and we are encouraged by the level of response we have recorded so far,” Comrade Giwa said.
The Director-General expressed satisfaction with the growing support the movement has received across communities, noting that many residents have shown interest in participating in the initiative.
He appreciated Hon. Anomo for receiving the delegation and for offering valuable advice, encouragement, and strategic guidance during the meeting.
Comrade Giwa assured the chairman that THEDSF would continue consulting political leaders and the five local government chairmen across Epe Division to strengthen unity and grassroots coordination.
He reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to promoting voter education, peaceful political engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and responsible democratic participation.
The Director-General also reiterated THEDSF’s resolve to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections through lawful and peaceful grassroots mobilisation.
Responding, Hon. Akogun Wale Raji Anomo commended THEDSF for adopting a consultative approach, describing the engagement as a positive step towards strengthening grassroots democracy and political inclusion.
The chairman encouraged the movement to sustain its engagement with stakeholders and ensure its activities continue to promote unity, youth participation, and community development across Epe Division.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by THEDSF and stakeholders to deepen collaboration, strengthen grassroots structures, expand voter education, and promote peaceful political participation throughout Epe Division.
