The leadership and members of the Epe Division Students for Hamzat (EDSFH) have paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Monsuru Ismail Akinloye, as part of the group’s ongoing stakeholder consultation across Epe Division.
Epe Insights reports that the visit formed part of EDSFH’s engagement with political leaders and community stakeholders to strengthen youth participation, civic responsibility, and grassroots collaboration ahead of future democratic activities in the division.
The student delegation used the meeting to brief the chairman on its activities, objectives, and commitment to promoting responsible leadership among young people.
The group explained that its consultations are designed to build stronger relationships with leaders while encouraging students to participate positively in community development and civic engagement.
EDSFH highlighted the success of its recent Permanent Voter Card (PVC) registration awareness campaign, which mobilised students and eligible youths across communities in Epe Division.
According to the student leaders, the initiative encouraged many first-time voters to register and understand the importance of participating in the democratic process.
The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to voter education, leadership development, peaceful civic engagement, and programmes that empower students across the division.
Members noted that young people remain an important force for social progress and should be encouraged to contribute meaningfully to governance and community development.
Receiving the delegation, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye commended the students for organising a successful PVC registration campaign that promoted voter awareness among youths.
