The President-General of the League of Imams and Alfas, Epe Division, Sheikh Sadala Abiola Aliru, has urged Muslims to use the Maulid Nabiyy celebration as an opportunity for reflection, learning and the promotion of good character.
Epe Insights reports that Sheikh Aliru, while speaking on the significance of the occasion, encouraged Muslims to reflect deeply on the life, teachings, character and exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad.
The Islamic scholar stressed that Maulid Nabiyy should go beyond celebration and festivities, urging the Muslim community to focus on the lessons contained in the life of the Holy Prophet.
According to him, the occasion provides an opportunity for Muslims to examine their conduct and strengthen their commitment to the values taught and demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad.
Sheikh Aliru identified peace, compassion, honesty, patience, unity, charity and good character as some of the important values Muslims should embrace.
He explained that these qualities remain relevant to individuals, families and communities, particularly at a time when peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding are important.
