Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has welcomed the South-West Arewa Community for the Renewed Hope Agenda, led by its Director-General, Shehu Usman Jibrin, to Lagos House, Ikeja, where they discussed development, opportunities and grassroots engagement across the state.
Epe Insights reports that Sanwo-Olu, in a statement following the meeting, described the Arewa community as an important part of Lagos State’s story and emphasised the need to maintain open communication for the benefit of all residents.
The governor said the engagement provided an opportunity to discuss the progress recorded in Lagos and explore ways to continue creating opportunities across different neighbourhoods.
According to Sanwo-Olu, inclusive development requires continuous engagement with communities and stakeholders across the state.
He noted that maintaining regular communication with the Arewa community would help strengthen understanding and ensure that residents remain connected to the state’s development agenda.
Sanwo-Olu also acknowledged the contribution of the Arewa community to the social and economic development of Lagos.
He described the community as an important part of the state’s diverse population, stressing the value of unity and collective participation in building a stronger Lagos.
The governor further appreciated the community for what he described as its strong support at the grassroots level.
He said members of the community had consistently played an important role in bringing people together around shared development objectives.

The meeting was led by Shehu Usman Jibrin, Director-General of the South-West Arewa Community for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
