Residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area now have convenient access to National Identification Number (NIN) registration at the LCDA Secretariat in Agbowa.

Epe Insights reports that the exercise is facilitated by the Executive Chairman, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, to make NIN registration and related services more accessible.

The enrollment team from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) will operate at the Secretariat for the next five weeks, four days a week: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Wednesdays are excluded from the schedule.

Residents can obtain new NINs, update personal records, and access other identification-related services.

Adults seeking corrections to their name, phone number, or date of birth within a 1–4 year adjustment period are required to use the NIMC Self-Service Modification Portal before visiting the enrollment center.

The initiative aims to reduce travel burdens and long queues for residents, especially seniors and people with limited mobility, ensuring everyone in the LCDA can complete registration efficiently.

Officials advised that all participants come prepared with valid identification documents, including birth certificates, voter cards, or other recognized ID forms, to streamline the enrollment process.

The program underscores the LCDA leadership’s commitment to digital inclusion and citizen-centric governance. By bringing NIN services closer to residents, the council seeks to enhance participation in national identification systems and facilitate access to government services that require NIN verification.

Community members are encouraged to take advantage of the ongoing exercise promptly to avoid delays and ensure accurate records. The LCDA will continue to liaise with NIMC to monitor progress and provide support where needed.

The NIN enrollment exercise at Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Secretariat is part of a broader state and federal effort to expand the National Identity Database and improve service delivery across Lagos State.
