Officials of the Lagos State Local Government Civil Service Commission, led by its Chairman, Hon. Ayinde Kamal Bayewu (FCIB), on Thursday visited Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area as part of their routine oversight of civil service operations across the state.

EpeInsights learnt that the delegation was warmly received by the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LGA, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, who expressed appreciation for the Commission’s ongoing efforts to enhance professionalism within the local government workforce.

Hon. Olowa praised the Commission for its innovative leadership, particularly in the strategic deployment of civil servants, which he said has improved service delivery and motivated staff through timely promotions.

He emphasized that his administration remains committed to staff welfare and will continue leveraging technology to improve public service efficiency.

In a generous gesture ahead of the upcoming Sallah celebration, Hon. Olowa announced a N50,000 welfare package for each staff member, a declaration that was met with thunderous applause.

In his remarks, Hon. Kamal Bayewu lauded the level of infrastructural and administrative development in Ibeju-Lekki, describing it as a marked improvement from the previous year.

He commended Hon. Olowa for constructing a modern office complex, which he said provides a conducive work environment for staff.

The Commission’s team was taken on a tour of key projects within the local government, including the legislative building, Citrus Garden Estate part of which is designated for staff quarters and the ongoing construction of the 400-meter Secretariat Road.

Other dignitaries present during the visit included Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bamgbola (Commissioner I), Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki (Commissioner II), Hon. Taofik Abiodun Adaranijo (Commissioner III), the Council Manager and the entire management and staff of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.
