Lekki LCDA Urges Residents to Observe Monthly Sanitation

Residents of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) have been reminded to participate in the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026.

Epe Insights reports that the sanitation exercise will take place from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., in line with the directive of the Lagos State Government aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.

The council urged residents to clean their homes, business premises, drainage channels and surrounding areas while ensuring that waste is disposed of responsibly through approved channels.

The exercise is designed to improve environmental hygiene, reduce flooding caused by blocked drains and help prevent the spread of diseases associated with poor sanitation.

Residents were also encouraged to support community cleanliness by working together to maintain a healthy and safe environment for everyone.

Lekki LCDA reiterated that environmental sanitation remains a shared responsibility and called on individuals, businesses and community groups to participate actively in the exercise.

The council noted that regular sanitation efforts contribute to sustainable development by protecting public health, preserving the environment and enhancing the overall quality of life within the LCDA.

Authorities expressed confidence that the continued cooperation of residents will help build cleaner neighbourhoods and strengthen ongoing efforts to create a healthier Lekki community.
