Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has announced a free medical outreach programme aimed at improving community health and enhancing access to basic healthcare services.

Epe Insights reports that the initiative is scheduled for April 15 at the Lekki Primary Health Care Centre, beginning at 8:00 a.m., and is open to all residents within the council area.

The outreach is designed to provide comprehensive medical services at no cost, including consultations and preventive health checks for residents.

According to the office of the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), the programme reflects the council’s commitment to people-centred governance.

The services to be offered include blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, laboratory investigations, dental care, and eye examinations.

Residents will also benefit from glaucoma screening, general medical consultations, free medications, and professional health education sessions.

Officials stated that the initiative is part of efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.

They noted that early detection and prevention of illnesses remain key priorities in improving public health outcomes within the LCDA.

The council urged residents to take full advantage of the outreach by attending early and participating actively in the exercise.

Health professionals will be on ground to provide counselling services and guide participants on maintaining healthy lifestyles.

Authorities emphasized that good health remains essential for productivity, economic growth, and overall community development.

They added that the outreach reflects ongoing investments in accessible healthcare infrastructure across Lekki LCDA.

Residents were encouraged to view the programme as an opportunity to assess their health status and receive timely medical attention.

The council reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining similar initiatives that support the wellbeing of families and vulnerable groups.
