The 2025 Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair is poised to be Nigeria’s largest trade and commerce event, with an estimated ₦5 billion in sales, over 220 vendors, and an anticipated attendance of 75,000 visitors over three days.
Epe Insights reports that the second edition of the collaboration between Naija Brand Chick and the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture aims to harness entertainment as a driver of trade. The highly anticipated fair will take place from Friday, April 11, to Sunday, April 13, at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Speaking on Tuesday, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, reaffirmed the government’s dedication to empowering local businesses and entrepreneurs through strategic initiatives.
“The essence of tourism is deeply intertwined with commerce, from buying and selling to economic and cultural development,” Aregbe stated. “Our administration is committed to job creation, poverty reduction, and the growth of SMEs, and events like this further our mission to bridge economic gaps.”
He emphasized that this year’s fair is designed to be bigger and better, with enhanced experiences and greater impact. A key innovation is the introduction of an Online Deals Spot, broadening access to trade opportunities beyond the physical marketplace.
Aregbe also assured attendees that the fair will be a cost-effective shopping hub, with exclusive discounts and promotional deals.
CEO of Naija Brand Chick, Nelly Agbogu, expressed her excitement about this year’s edition, underscoring Lagos’ prominence as a commercial powerhouse.
“Lagos is the perfect backdrop for business growth, and this fair proves that with the right support, entrepreneurs can thrive,” Agbogu said. “We’re thrilled to host another groundbreaking event that empowers SMEs and transforms lives. We appreciate the Lagos State Government for its unwavering commitment to small business development.”
The Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair continues to set new standards, focusing on increasing sales, strengthening vendor-customer relationships, and cementing its reputation as a premier business event in Nigeria.
This year’s edition will introduce dynamic new features, including business masterclasses, interactive workshops, and financial inclusion initiatives, providing vendors with access to grants and other support systems.
Beyond commerce, attendees can look forward to appearances by influencers and celebrities, cultural performances, dance showcases, exciting giveaways, and raffle draws—all curated to drive sales and enhance brand visibility.
The 2024 edition was a resounding success, with numerous vendors sharing testimonials of their positive experiences. Key highlights included the Sanwo-Naira innovation, which facilitated seamless transactions, and the Lagos Corner, which offered small businesses with limited resources the opportunity to participate for free.
With a stronger, more inclusive approach, the 2025 Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair is set to raise the bar, offering an unforgettable experience for businesses and shoppers alike.
