The much-anticipated Lagos Tourism NBC Trade Fair is officially underway, turning the Balmoral Event Centre, Federal Palace Hotel into a vibrant hub of creativity, commerce, and culture.
EpeInsights reports that the fair which runs from April 11 to 13, powered by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in collaboration with Naija Brand Chick (NBC)—has drawn crowds eager to experience the best of Made-in-Nigeria brands, live entertainment, and curated experiences.
From the moment doors opened, hundreds of vendors sprang into action, offering flash sales, product bundles, giveaways, and immersive brand activations. The atmosphere is electric, with Lagosians and visitors exploring everything from fashion and food to tech, crafts, and wellness products.
Speaking during the opening, Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Idris Aregbe, reaffirmed the Sanwo-Olu administration’s commitment to empowering local businesses.
“This platform is proof that when tourism and commerce come together, we can unlock real opportunities for small businesses to thrive,” he said.
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Olanrewaju Bajulaiye, emphasized professionalism and excellence as key drivers for long-term growth. He encouraged vendors to seize the moment to scale their impact and grow from local to global players.
The fair’s convener, Mrs. Nelly Agbogu (popularly known as Naija Brand Chick), expressed excitement about the momentum, revealing that this edition aims to generate over ₦500 million in sales and leads for participating businesses.
“It’s not just about selling products—it’s about visibility, networking, and creating global footprints for homegrown brands,” she said.
